Inflammatory foods

Elimination diets can be sooo helpful to find the foods that are causing inflammation and thereby causing you pain in your joints, headaches, muscle aches, sinus pain, etc They're not the same for everyone, but for folks with joint issues/ diseases there are some  foods that are much more common offenders.

Watch the gluten, wheat ,barley, rye, and even oats (even gluten free oats) dairy and eggs of course...

But when people eliminate the wheat, eggs and dairy...many add in corn, white potato, gluten free grains /oats (broken down to sugars), and sugar ...these can also cause inflammation.

Some foods that cause pain, in many with joint problems, are beef (not sure if grass fed beef would be less inflammatory- seems to be a plausible theory), tomatoes (and other nightshades- eggplant, white potato, bell peppers etc),  bananas, and peanut butter.

When you do an elimination diet, pay special attention to these foods if and when you add them back in.
